Whiskrs is designed to assist with facial hair awareness and grooming management.
Whiskrs does not provide medical or dermatology advice.

When you create an account, we may collect:

• Basic app usage logs (for performance + troubleshooting)

2.2 Face Data Privacy & Usage

Whiskrs provides grooming insights by analyzing facial hair patterns in photos captured or uploaded by users. This section explains how face data is collected, used, stored, shared, and retained.

2.2.1 What Face Data We Collect

When you capture or upload a photo in Whiskrs, we may collect:

• A photo of your face

• Facial regions required for grooming analysis (e.g., jawline, cheek area, beard region)

We do not collect or generate biometric identifiers, facial recognition templates, or identity-related facial data.

2.2.2 How We Use Face Data

Face data is used exclusively for grooming and style-related features, including:

• Detecting facial hair using AI-based image analysis

• Identifying areas where facial hair is present

• Generating grooming insights and recommendations

Whiskrs does not use face data for identity verification, authentication, or facial recognition.

2.2.3 Storage & Security of Face Data

Your photos and face-region data are processed and stored securely:

• Images are uploaded to our backend and stored in AWS secure storage

• All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and encrypted at rest

• Access is restricted to secure backend services and essential technical personnel with appropriate permissions

2.2.4 Sharing of Face Data

We do not share face data with:

• Advertisers

• Analytics providers

• External marketing or data-processing partners

• Third-party facial recognition services

Access is limited strictly to:

• Whiskrs backend systems for processing

• Essential technical staff under controlled, restricted access

2.2.5 Retention of Face Data

Your face photos are retained only as long as needed to operate the grooming features:

• Retained until you delete the photo within the app, or

• Until you delete your account, or

• Until you request full data deletion

Upon account deletion or data deletion request, all associated face images and user data are fully removed from our systems.

2.3 Analytics

To improve performance and stability, we may collect anonymous usage analytics (e.g., feature use, crash logs).
Analytics cannot identify you personally.
